Elviria is a peaceful and safe location just a few kilometres east of Marbella’s town centre and is often described as having some of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol along with the best beach clubs, such as Nikki Beach. It is also a popular destination for those looking to relocate permanently or would like to buy a Spanish holiday home.

Elviria, Discover the Best of the Costa del Sol

Cabopino is most renowned for its small but elegant marina full of busy restaurants and bars protected by its pine forests and golf courses. The beach at Cabopino is particularly popular with families with young children as the bay shields the beach from waves and the waters remain shallow and calm making it enjoyable for young bathers.

The marina is surrounded by elegant apartment buildings and on the mountain side of the road are a selection of newly built and off plan apartments and townhouses.

Elviria is a favourite location with tourists and residents who wish to reside in the suburbs of the greater Marbella area. Elviria is conveniently located; just 6km (4 miles) from the old town of Marbella and 45km (27 miles) from Malaga international airport. The area is well equipped with services, amenities and entertainment facilities and being a coastal resort many properties are within walking distance to the local beaches.

During Marbella’s summer season, it is Nikki Beach that attracts the celebrities and international jet set. The club’s famous annual ‘White Party’ held in May signals the start of the summer. Then in October, the ‘Red Party’ marks the end of the season. If rubbing shoulders with the Elite is not your idea of fun then there are plenty of more low key venues frequented by Elviria’s international population such as the Beach House and White Pearl Beach.

The area has a relaxed cosmopolitan feel, mainly due to the high number of expats. It is essentially a purpose built residential urbanisation which also incorporates swathes of countryside and golf courses. It is also peaceful and safe, making it a magnet for families with children of all ages. And although there is no ‘town centre’ as such, there are plenty of restaurants shops, bars and charming beachside ‘chiringuitos’. What really sets this area apart is the high proportion of quality property and wonderful flat sandy beaches. Like most of the urbanisations on the Costa del Sol, Elviria is divided by the coast road into beachside and mountainside, however, you are never very far from some of the finest beaches on the coast

Resting between Cabopino and El Resario, Elviria is renowned as one of the more upmarket areas on the coast, home to popular destinations such as the five star Don Carlos hotel and world renowned Nikki Beach. The area is also home to a number of famed bars and restaurants which attract cliental from far and wide. Elviria is particularly well known for its pine trees, beaches and mountain ranges. One of the most prestigious areas on the coast is set just inland from Elviria – La Mairena, home to impressive luxury villas and apartment complexes which enjoy some of the most spectacular views of the coast and mountain ranges. There are three golf courses in Elviria, the nine hole El Soto de Marbella course in La Mairena, the 18 hole Santa Maria golf course and the 9 hole Greenlife golf course.

Marbella is connected to all towns on the Costa del Sol and beyond by regular local bus and coach services. The nearest train station is located in Fuengirola, there has been talk of extending the rail network further east for many years, but the project is yet to get underway. The toll road and coast road provide the option of either quick or scenic routes along the length and breadth of the Costa del Sol, continuing into the neighbouring Costa de la Luz to the frontier with Gibraltar.
